People evacuated from Oleshky were reunited with family members after crossing from Belarus into Ukraine on Saturday. The evacuees arrived by bus and ambulance at a site in the Chernihiv region of northern Ukraine after travelling through Crimea and Russia following their Friday evacuation from the Russian-occupied city.

The reunions follow a ceasefire brokered by US First Lady Melania Trump that took effect across the Kherson frontline region on Tuesday. The ceasefire measures remain in place until the end of Sunday, 1 November.
