Tal Alexander, 40, and twins Oren and Alon Alexander, 39, were each sentenced to 30 years in prison on Tuesday after being found guilty in March of drugging and sexually assaulting dozens of women over decades. Judge Valerie Caproni sentenced them to 30 years on certain counts and 20 years on additional counts, to be served concurrently.

The three brothers, two of whom worked as luxury real estate brokers in New York and Miami, used their wealth and social status to lure women to parties and luxury homes where they sexually assaulted them, prosecutors said. During a five-week trial, 11 women testified that the brothers gave them gifts and flew them to locations including Aspen and the Bahamas, where they allegedly drugged and raped them. Several victims said they were minors when assaulted.

Prosecutors said the pattern of abusive behaviour began in high school, though trial evidence covered crimes starting in 2008. They alleged the brothers slipped drugs into women's drinks, physically restrained victims during rapes, and ignored screams and explicit requests to stop.

Twelve victims spoke at sentencing on Tuesday. One victim, identified as Maya Miller, told the court that after Tal Alexander raped her in 2014, she lost all sense of safety. Another victim, using the pseudonym Isa Brooks, said she was raped by Tal and Alon Alexander when she was 16 and lost the ability to trust herself. A third woman said Tal Alexander threatened her when she planned to come forward, saying he knew where her sister worked.

Prosecutors sought the maximum sentence of life in prison. Prosecutor Elizabeth Espinosa said the brothers were "completely unmoved by the path of suffering they left behind them."

Defense attorneys argued for 15-year sentences, citing the defendants' roles as fathers. The three men told the court they maintained their innocence. Tal Alexander said he saw how his "play-hard" mentality "hurt people's feelings" but did not acknowledge wrongdoing. Judge Caproni rejected their statements, asking "How can someone who never acknowledged the wrongs they did be rehabilitated?" She noted the brothers showed little emotion during victims' statements.

Tal and Oren Alexander worked for Douglas Elliman, a major US real estate firm with high-profile clients including Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. They founded their own firm, Official, in New York in 2022. Alon Alexander worked at the family's private security firm, Kent Security.
