Bodycam footage released by Ukraine's national police shows the moments between two Russian bomb strikes that killed at least 40 people in the village of Kamyshuvakha on Monday. The video, recorded on a police officer's camera, shows residents entering an underground shelter after the first attack. A military official warns on radio of more glide bombs approaching, prompting police to tell residents to reach the shelter. Seconds after people enter, the shelter is struck and the recording ends.

Ukraine said nine gliding bombs, some weighing 3,000 kilograms, hit the village as people gathered to collect humanitarian aid near a school. The shelter was destroyed, leaving a large crater. President Volodymyr Zelensky said more than 30 people may remain under the rubble as search operations continued into their third day. Zelensky described the attack as a "double-tap" strike, saying Russian forces first hit civilians seeking aid, then targeted rescuers and police who arrived afterward. He called it one of "thousands" of war crimes by Russia and noted the attack received limited international response.

BBC Verify confirmed the bodycam footage was filmed at the same location as video released by Ukraine's state emergencies service. The Russian military has not publicly commented on the attack.
